Federturismo Confindustria is the Italian Travel and Tourism Federation which represents the leading Italian companies and associations operating in the different areas of the tourism industry. Federturismo belongs to the Confindustria system, and currently, it includes 21 sector associations, 7 company members (directly associated) and several local associations. Federturismo aims to contribute to the country’s economic growth starting from tourism. At European level Federturismo works through the delegation office at policy level and its Unit European projects and Partnerships for the implementation of key transformative projects. Thanks to its institutional nature, the federation has relations with both national, European and international tourism institutions.

In 2017 Federturismo launched the Federturismo Academy which provides online vocational and executive training with the scope to increase the competitiveness of the tourism value chain. Since 2014 a dedicated unit to Eu projects and partnerships has been launched in Brussels, and two key projects have been designed and implemented: Ideate and Next Tourism Generation Alliance. Federturismo is involved in European Union and national funded projects and it uses its expertise for enterprises. Federturismo has expertise in the field of communication, marketing, training, policy development, management plans, research, analysis and the diffusion of relevant data at a national level.
